Frequently asked questions

What types of simulators are used at Smash Factor Indoor Golf?

We use the Uneekor EyeXO launch monitors, which are high-speed cameras that are mounted above the golfer making it seamless for right and left-handed golfers to play at the same time. The Uneekor EyeXO tracks a vast amount of ball and club data.

Are there special balls that only work with the simulators?

No, marked balls are not required, and any golf ball can be used (as long as it is in “like new” condition without scuffs).

What software is used to calculate the club and ball data and are there any additional requirements to use them?

The ball and club data are captured using the Uneekor “View” software.  View will give you all of the detailed ball data, however, to access the enhanced club data, stickers are required for each club.  Stickers are complementary and we can assist you in ensuring they are placed properly on your clubs.  The list of data collected are:

Ball Data:  Ball Speed, Side & Back Spin, Side Angle & Total, Launch Angle, Angle of Descent/Land Angle, Flight Time, Distance to Apex, Carry, Run and Total Distance

Club Data: Club Speed, Dynamic Loft, Angle of Attack, Smash Factor, Club Path, Club Face Angle, Club Face to Path, Club Lie Angle, Club Loft Angle, Impact Point Vertical, Impact Point Horizontal

Are your virtual golf courses realistic?

Yes, we use two of the top-rated software programs on the market today for GSPro.  The visuals and graphics are amazing along with detailed feedback on every shot you hit.  This simulator will provide you with an experience close to what you find playing a real course.

How do I choose a course to play?

A list of courses for GSPro will be provided at your bay.  The list includes the yardages and difficulty of each course.  Check at our Facebook page for the list of courses.  Be sure to “like” and “share” the page while you are there.

Can we practice before we play?

Yes.  The software has virtual driving ranges.  Consider booking additional time (1/2-hour suggestion), especially if you have multiple players.

How long does it take to play 18 holes

Figure 1 hour per person for 18 holes (2 player = 2 hours; 3 player = 3 hours, etc…).  These are estimates and can vary on how easy/difficult you set up a course; the speed of your play, etc… *Again, please consider booking extra time, if you wish, to include practice.

What if I only want to play 9 holes?

SFIG simulators are priced by the hour.  If you or your group wishes to play only 9 holes, simply book half the time it is suggested for 18.

Do I bring my own clubs; shoes; golf balls?

Yes. You play your own clubs (please make sure they are clean). We will have sets available for those who need them.

Soft spike shoes are allowed, although any sneaker (comfortable shoe) will do as well.

A premium (pro model) golf ball will be issued for each simulator.  However, you may play your own preferred brand but must be “like new” condition.

Are there any age restrictions?

Yes, 12-16-year-olds have to be accompanied by an adult.

Can I book large parties for corporate events? Will there be league play?

Yes, ask us about booking events.  Leagues will be developed in-house based on interest.  Please feel free to contact us for further information on both.

Is there a cancellation policy?

Yes.  24-hour notice is preferred (contact us with any special circumstance).  The credit card used for the reservation will be charged for the hours booked if not canceled.

Do you offer food and beverages?

Yes. Available for purchase will only be beer; wine and non-alcoholic beverages.  We do not have food service available at our site.

However, next to our location is Zenwich and Chopsticks Noodle & Thai Cafe.  You may order (and have delivered) from either restaurant (which would be your quickest option).  You may also order from any of your favorite establishments in the area, using several delivery options.

*Please note*— Beverages, of any kind, are NOT permitted to be brought into SFIG.  Please do not include these with any food ordered.  Also, any food ordered for delivery, the settlement of the bill is solely between you (the customer) and the establishment from which it was ordered.
